So, we’re here.

In the UP.

And it’s cold.

I don’t mean like, "Oh, it’s spring! Fresh and crisp and cool!"

Nope.

This is the coldest fricking summer in the last 80 years or something crazy like that!

It’s beautiful and I’m loving the lake, the land, and the people.

But it’s also to cold for shorts, never mind a swimsuit.

And there are NO rental houses to be had.  None. Zero. Nada.   Arghhh. 
All of the houses for rent have been butchered into 4 or 5 college apartments.  The single family houses we have seen won’t allow pets.

After searching for a month, we haven’t found anything.  It’s not bad staying on my dad’s property… But it’s a little close. 

I’m frustrated.  Tired.  Sullen.  But still a little happy to be here.

I made Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes with Little Miss Diva herself today…

That makes me smile.
